Don H and Linda E report that they were kayaking from Mail Bay towards Turtleback on Orcas. They saw millions of what they believe are juvenile salmon, because they were jumping. The smallest ones were about 2 cm long, and formed basketball-like clumps. The larger ones were about 5 cm long, and were in schools of about 3 - 4' wide.
During the course of several tides, there was a lot of green algae in the water, maybe sea lettuce.
