Julie L: A sea lion has been hanging around American Camp on San Juan Island. At the beach seines: Cowlitz Bay: A 1" Melibe leonina (lion nudibranch). Nudibranch eggs.

Stan W: Walked to Pt. Hammond from Mail Bay, and did not see many seabirds except for a small group of Mew Gulls sitting on the beach. Saw a pair of alcids way out, probably Common Murres. However the east end of Bare Island was white, with a lot of gulls and cormorants sitting around.

David L: A dead orca was reported at Lawrence Point on Lopez, but not found. Later, the Whale Museum recovered a Dall's Porpoise, which looks enough like an orca so it was probably one of those.

Julie L: Someone walking around Sandy Point counted 250 Lion's Mane Jellies on the beach. Someone standing at Fishery Point counted 12 otters. The termites are out. Pileated Woodpeckers and Robins walk around on the road after the termites.
