Julie L: Scattered showers, some sun. In bloom in the garden: The last of the flowering currants, Oregon-grape, the first of the maples, plum trees, mid-season daffodils, the first of the tulips. Many plants are putting on their first spring growth. Turkish poppies are about 2”, chives are about 6”, apples are budding, lilacs have their first leaves, roses are leafing out. The ducks have started laying eggs.
Nuthatches have been calling all winter. Now, we are getting robins and other thrushes during the dark parts of the day; dawn, dusk, and right before rain showers.
