Laurie G: North Bay 17:00 ish, low tide. Sunny and mild, though we had hail this morning. Water clear, calm. Bits of seaweeds strewn about, not much. Egg clusters (or sponges) dispersed along the intersection of slanted sand and gravel beach and the emerging sand flats - mostly on sand flats. 1,000 clusters between Roach’s volleyball court and Graber’s. (Kathy of Skagit River Systems Coop says this photo shows sculpin eggs.)

Laurie G: North Bay 17:25, Military type surveillance plane made low pass over Waldron, flying over mid-island in Westerly direction, emerging over Harris’s, banked right (Northeast), continuing over Waldron, low (150 feet above trees). Eagle spooked, flew, resettled by Roach Swamp. Adult otter ambled from Dehart water/beach near Glenn’s into beach grass at Roach/Dehart property boundary.
Josie S: TNC house: Tony saw a bat last evening, before it was completely dark. As we ate supper we watched, but could never determine whether there was more than one. A bit earlier in the evening, Tony saw three violet-green swallows.
