July 23, 2010 Beach Seine
This was the most crowded seine I can remember. There were a few kids with caregivers swimming at the dock, and the Nordlund barge was waiting for the fuel truck to return when David arrived from Lopez with the KWIAHT crowd.
Air temp 86ºF, water temp 24ºC (Temperatures taken by a child. They seem high to me). Salinity 102. -1.4' tide. Full sun, faint breeze.

Lavage and Herring
We lavaged 40 Chinook and measured 1 Pink. There were no mortalities, few hatchery fish, few parasites on them. The fish had eaten crab zooea, sand lance, insects, or copepods.
Glen R. took tissue samples from herring for a DNA study.
